The Studienkolleg München is a tuition-free offer for foreign students
who need a specific preparation in addition to their high school diploma
in order to pick up their university studies in Germany. Every year about
300 students from 60 countries prepare at the Studienkolleg München for
their studies at one of the eleven universities of the Federal State of
Bavaria, Germany. We, the instructors of the Studienkolleg, want to
contribute to your successful and swift graduation from a university in Germany.
What is a Studienkolleg?
Studienkollegs are usually state-owned institutions which exist in all of
the 16 states of the Federal Republic of Germany. Foreign applicants to
German universities receive language and subject-matter preparation for
their university studies here. Foreigners whose school diplomas are not
considered equivalent to the standards of the German high school diploma
(Abitur) are required to pass a preparatory study course at a Studienkolleg.
The Studienkolleg München
covers all of the eleven universities in the Federal State of Bavaria. Students
at the Studienkolleg receive full student status. They are enrolled either at the
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München or at the Technische Universität München.
Statistics prove that graduates of the Studienkolleg München subsequently graduate
from university as successfully and as quickly as German students.
